The founder, Kiyo Ohara is considered a fashion authority with a strong retail and product development background from: Saks Fifth Avenue, Henri Bendel and Associated Merchandising Corporation, an international buying office that handles major department stores. She moved into manufacturing as the VP of Merchandising at Esprit, a job specifically designed for her because of her experience with design and retailers. She has traveled extensively determining fashion and marketing trends to design and source collections and has developed a strong creative network globally. Icon Marketing LLC was founded by Ms. Ohara to develop strategic marketing,design and merchandising strategies for creative companies. She advised web developers and online services about the fashion industry and apparel manufacturers about the web. She produced the website for the Emmy award winning show "3rd Rock from the Sun" for Carsey Werner an ambitious venture that was one of the first websites to feature original content for the web. Ms. Ohara created Dragon 88 as a new creative venue on the Web. Her relationships with designers and artists that span many industries and connections in the Internet world made the vision a reality. |
